In addition to his own music, Charlie is a founding member of the newgrass / bluegrass band The No Dough Boys (formerly known as The Biscuit Boys).

Charlie is a passionate supporter of JDRF given his son was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes at 16 months old.
